Best Time to Visit

To explore historical sites including the pyramids and temples it’s best to visit during the winter months from November to February, when the temperatures are not so hot. For a perfect beach vacation including snorkeling and diving in the beautiful Red Sea we recommend the fall (September to October) and spring (March to April) when the water is warmer.

Treasures of Egypt

From golden pharaos to towering pyramids and colorful coral reefs – Egypt is full of gems to be discovered.

Know Before You Go

Curious about Egypt before your trip? Let us answer the most common questions and have you packing with confidence.

Colombia is so much more than what you read from the newspapers. Medellin – once the most dangerous city in the world – has transformed into an international hub of innovation and culture. Seeing Colombia for yourself is key to understanding the profound change it has undergone, moving beyond its challenging history.

With its cheerful locals, colorful homes, and the rhythmic beats of cumbia, Colombia embraces visitors in a way that goes beyond expectations, making it a destination that truly wins hearts.

The media often overemphasizes crime and danger in Egypt, giving travelers a false impression of the country’s safety. Egypt is working hard to decriminalize the country and change it’s international image. Egypt is generally safe for tourists, if you stay alert. Stick to well-traveled areas, secure your belongings, heed local advice, and you will be fine.

Egypt stands out as one of the most budget-friendly countries for travel in South America. However, be aware, that in the last years the inflation has been quite high, especially impacting prices in restaurants.

Have a look into our guides. There we list the expected costs for accommodations, transport, food and activities for each destination.

Most visitors from countries like the US, Canada, UK, Australia, the EU can enjoy visa-free entry for up to 90 days. However, some exceptions and specific requirements for other countries might apply, so it’s best to check directly with the official sites such as https://www.cancilleria.gov.co/en/tourist-visa. In some cases you might be asked to present a proof of return/onward ticket when entering Colombia.

Colombia’s huge, so don’t forget to factor in travel time between cities. You can get a taste of Colombia in about 5-7 days, especially if you focus on spots like Medellin, Salento, and Cartagena. But for a more relaxed experience without feeling rushed, give it at least two, better yet, three weeks to really soak up the colorful vibes of the country.
